Baby Update

We are approaching week #36...Hayden will be making his debut in about 4 1/2 weeks! That is, if I make it that long! We had a doctors appointment this morning and got to hear his sweet little heartbeat and found out that he is finally head down! We also found out that I am already dialated 1cm!! We can't believe that it is almost time for him to be here. I feel like these next few weeks are going to fly by. We have the nursery all ready and our bags are packed... so all we have to do is play the waiting game!

Who's counting calories?!?!

Being pregnant calls for eating great food... and LOTS of it! Paul and I are both huge food lovers... but, normally we are pretty healthy eaters and really look at labels, etc. Paul even has a nickname of "food nazi".

I always said that when I got pregnant I would continue working out and eating the way I was.... HA, well that didn't happen! I have continued working out.... just not as much (or as intense) as I was pre-pregnancy. Before I got pregnant I was working out everyday.. sometimes twice a day! I was doing lots of cardio, weight's, yoga, zumba, and kickboxing. Since I have been pregnant, I have cut back big time on the amount of working out I was doing simply because of exhaustion and not being able to do certain activities. However, I am still getting some physical excercise like walking, zumba, prenatal yoga, light weight lifting, and swimming. I cannot wait to get back in the gym after Hayden gets here!!

As far as eating goes.. (except for my first trimester) I have continued eating pretty healthy.. just enjoying foods I wouldn't normally eat and eating a much bigger portion than I normally would! I have only had a few aversions; I cannot stand garlic!!! I don't want to see it, smell it, touch it, and definitely don't want to taste it! I have also had aversions to raw carrots and hummus. I haven't had any strange cravings though. Some of the things I have craved since I became pregnant are bisquits & gravy, green apples, vanilla milkshakes, and green peas!

During my pregnancy Paul and I have enjoyed being able to eat some things that we wouldn't normally eat! My Nana made some homemade sourdough bread (two loaves) for me. It is my absolute favorite bread and is already almost gone!!! Then, this morning Paul and I went to our favorite doughnut place Thank God Donut. Ooooooh it was Heaven!! I have really enjoyed being able to eat "whatever I want to", but I really can't wait to start working out again! So, YMCA better watch out, because I'm coming!! ; )

Baby Hayden's Nursery!!

FINALLY.. the moment you've all been waiting for--- Hayden's nursery is finished!! We are SO in love with his nursery! The beautiful bedding and curtains were all handmade by his Mimi (Cindy) and his gorgeous quilt was handmade by his Uncle Mim (Will)! There are a few more simple touches we want to put in the nursery, like picture frames and his shadow box.. but, it is pretty much finished for the most part! We put so much love into decorating his nursery and cannot wait to see him in it!!!

His shadow box will be going on the wall next to the glider.
It will be filled with multiple UK items.
I am going to make picture frames for his hand and foot print
that will go on the shelves.

LOVE this wreath that Amy made me for my shower!

All of Hayden's shoes! Do you see his little Jordan's?!?
My awesome baby bag!! Packed and ready to go!
 Beautiful quilt Will made Hayden!

Go baby go!!

If you know us at all.. you know that Hayden is already a little wild man!! He is very active! He moves all day and all night! I was finally able to catch some of his movement on video by putting the remote control on top of my belly!!

Hearing Hayden's heartbeat for the first time!

Our FIRST Baby

Our sweet little fox terrier, Izzy, is our first baby... haha. I'm not sure what I would do without her in our lives!! Here are a few pictures of our little furball!

Baby Bryant

It was Saturday June 12, 2010 when Paul and I had gone to Wendy's to get a frosty. When I had trouble finishing what was left of my delicious chocolate frosty I began questioning the thought that I just might be pregnant.
Later that day,I went to PF Changs for dinner with a group of my girlfriends. After dinner, the waitor put about nine fortune cookies down on the table. I randomly picked one, cracked it open, looked at the fortune and almost started balling my eyes out!! The chinese word on my fortune cookie said "Mother"! I knew right then.
I immediately took a picture of the fortune and sent it to Paul. It only took him about five seconds to write me back saying, "shut up. that's not funny." All I could do was laugh, because I just knew I was pregnant.
When I woke up the next morning, my body was telling me that I was definitely pregnant. Once Paul woke up, I made him go to the store to buy a pregnancy test. While he was gone I was impatiently waiting! As soon as he got home I went to the bathroom, did the deed on the stick, and waited. That was the LONGEST 3 minutes of my life. Finally when the 3 minutes had passed I walked into the bathroom and looked at the stick. It actually took me a second to register that it was positive! I was looking for the word NOT to come before pregnant. But, when I realized that it was definitely positive I turned around to Paul and put my hands over my face and started crying uncontrollably! Paul said "Are you pregnant? You're pregnant! Are you pregnant?!?!" Then he jumped off the couch and held me in his arms while we both balled our eyes out!
After we finished laughing at how much we were crying, we prayed, then immediately started taking pictures and calling people to let them know the great news!! We couldn't be happier with what God has blessed us with and we CANNOT WAIT to meet our BABY HAYDEN BRYANT!!! : )

Our 20 week ultrasound

I was a nervous wreck to find out what the sex of our baby was going to be! It seemed like it took forever to get my ultrasound done! But, finally the day came on September 30, 2010 that Paul and I got to see our little baby and find out what it was! When we got to the doctors office the lady at the desk said I wasn't on the schedule... I almost had a heart attack! Paul said I was actually turning red! When she said we might need to reschedule we both yelled "NO! We have to know TODAY!!" Turns out that our doctor had acidentally put in the wrong patients info (a 67 year old woman for a 20 week ultrasound, HA) and that I really was on the schedule, thank GOD!
Paul was already 100% sure that it was going to be a boy. I thought it was going to be a boy too, but was still amazed when the doctor said "It's a little boy!" I have always wanted a little girl, but when she said the words and let us know that it actually was a little boy, my heart melted right away! I don't think that either Paul or I could be happier!!!! I am SO excited to meet my lil' man!! The doctor said that by the ultrasound measurements he looked about 20 weeks and a few days. She also gave him an A and said everything looked perfect!! Now its go time! We are already looking like crazy for nursery furniture and baby items... and we are loving every minute of it!!
That night we enjoyed telling our families at dinner that we were having a little boy by bringing blue "It's a boy!" balloons with us. My mom had a gut feeling that it was a boy, so she decided to purchase little boy shoes to give me if it was a boy. Well, she was right and we all got a pretty good laugh out of that! Both of our families are very excited and have talked about nothing but Hayden since we told them!
We can't wait to meet our little Hayden Blair Bryant!!!

We're Homeowners!!

Buying a home was one of the most enjoyable, yet stressful things Paul and I have done so far!! However, we are SO happy with our purchase!! We found an adorable little starter home on a street named after our favorite sports team, the Kentucky Wildcats! haha We knew it was meant to be! ; ) We moved into our cute little 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom, (and amazing kitchen!) home almost one year ago! We have enjoyed living here SO much!! Even though we miss the great neighbors at our previous apartment, it has been so nice to come home and not have to walk up two flights of stairs to the third story! : ) In just one year we have made so many wonderful memories and cannot wait for all of the future memories to be made in our home!

Looking back...

Even though it was over 3 years ago... Paul and I love looking back and thinking about our wedding day on November 17, 2007. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect wedding! It is so hard to believe that it was 3 years ago - man, how time flies!!! Here are a few of our favorite pictures from that day::
